Hi Kevin. You are exactly right, and I'm sure Robert Frost, were he a reader/writer on Medium at the moment, would have enjoyed how you juxtapose his poem's celebration of each individual's freedom to chose the path less traveled against Medium's algorithmic attempt to lead us by the nose to what we "should" be reading.

I hope the good people at Medium who make these decisions read your article and see the error of their ways!

One final thought: I'm 60, and so I count myself in the club of old men. I say we continue to write and publish, and carve out our own corner of Medium.

My guess is that there is a growing cohort of people our age who are hungry for writers like us to represent them. Unlike the poor fellows of the Light Brigade, we can reply, we can reason why, and we can do before we die. And there are readers out there who want us to.

Thanks for the mention. I am humbled and honored.

And regarding our earlier conversation about Bonsai and the Bard, I would add Mozart. That trio feels like perfection to me.

All my best, Cristo
