I'm one of those who came to Medium in the last year or so, first as a paying reader and then as a writer. I decided it was worth my time and effort to try to make Medium work as a revenue source.

I put my heart into everything I write, so I don't write quickly nor do I publish daily.

Until the changes (I'm tempted to refer to it as "The Troubles") my followers were steadily increasing, and my views were increasing somewhat proportionately. I wasn't making much $ but I felt like the commitment I made to the process was paying off, and in a year or so I might be able to generate enough $ each month to make the substantial effort and time invested worth it.

But I no longer feel that way. Views are way down. It's hugely discouraging. I'm trying to decide if it's worth continuing with Medium.
