Thank you for reading and responding! It’s amazing how at age 60, memories of my childhood have begun to flood my brain. Unfortunately, most of the time the memories are like the ones in the story, in which I’ve done something stupid or mean (or usually both). I guess I’m learning that regret and remorse never quite disappear, though they may lie dormant for long stretches. Now that I’m closer to the end of my life than the beginning, it’s time to make things right while I can. Thanks again for responding Tim. All my best to you.

It was my pleasure.
I think people who experience the two are only decent human beings. And if not for the fact that forgiveness is also good for the forgiver, I would have said they be the only ones to ever receive forgiveness.
It was a very moving piece, Cristo. I have to go make a few calls myself now.
